If you touch nothing then wait a few hours. If the spots go away then ... No Problem, Man.
If the spots do not go away then you'd best be seeing an opthamologist.

If you touch something warm and it responds back by licking your hand then its probably a dalmatian.

If you touch something warm and it responds back by growling and/or biting your hand off then its probably a cheetah. By then its probably too late to do much of anything.

...my arm got tired after five minutes, so the results are inconclusive. I've heard cheetahs are rare in Arizona, so I think I can count that one out.

If you're getting the shooting stars effect (especially after just standing up), that's usually a mineral deficiency (magnesium, potassium, even iron), but it can also be low on B vitamins. I'd been worried about the little gnat spots that show up and seem to move and at a very recent eye exam he told me pretty much everyone gets those and they're just microscopic junk on the lenses or eye fluid that is amplified in size by proximity to the retina

As for the shooting stars, at least for me that is a warning that my face is going to go flush and I'm going to very rapidly get dizzy. Try ignoring them and continue looking forward. What makes MY eyeballs hurt is trying to track the things around, which is impossible. You'll never focus on one.

I'm trusting you are referring to transient incidents as opposed to long-term dark spots (that don't move). The latter could be serious and lead to blindness (such as macular degeneration). If the spots are stationary, get your ass (well, eyes too) in to see an optometrist as soon as you can. For the simple spots, they'll probably just want you to get a basic blood screening to look for deficiencies or enzyme level abnormalities. Simple test, results in a couple of days. Probably mostly blood, but they may want you to do the 24-hour piss collection thing (pain in the ass).

On a side note, were they CUTE Dalmations?

...4 years ago I was told I was going blind...slowly. Scarring and stuff related to a few stupid health issues.

I'm a graphic artist. Tough for us to find work if we can't see.

About 6 months ago I started taking magnesium for my fibromyalgia. Went to the eye doctor last month and he said my eyes are friggin' healing! No new scars and the old ones are shrinking! Bummer part is, the magnesium is causing other issues that I've yet to figure out. Mainly, I wanna sleep...a lot. Minor issue is stomach pain, but it goes away eventually. Tough trade off, but worth it. Going to any type of doctor takes months of planning. No insurance.

The dalmatians were sort of cute, I guess. I'm not a dalmatian person. I did notice that there really aren't many of those 'cute' pics of them. They're sort of dead-pan in their expressions unless they want to eat you. Oddly enough, my favorite dogs are pitties. They look silly as hell when they smile. But, I'm working on a job for one of our local fire depts. so the dalmatian is it.
