I dated a guy a few years back and he decided to spend the night. My dog always slept on the floor right beside my side of the bed. After about an hour he said that every time the dog moved it would wake him up and the dog would have to sleep in the living room. Needless to say I broke up with him a couple of days later. No one and I mean NO ONE comes between me and my babies!
