Trick or Treat is going on right now in my community.

Since it was so cold, wet, and rainy on Halloween, the city rightly decided to change it to this evening.

I think about twenty or so kids have stopped by so far, but the funniest thing is my cats reaction to seeing the kids.

When the bell rings, they all scatter, because they know that bell ringers or door knockers are strangers, but then their curiosity gets the better of them and they slink back to the door to see what exactly is going on.

I go from cats running between my legs to scram, to cats sniffing at the kids to see who they are.

At least they are getting a workout.

Curiously, she was in the basement. She was supposed to be up in our bedroom but she (without anyone noticing) escaped. Black cats and Halloween are NOT a good combination. They get abused.

He knows that the doorbell means strangers.

And we have always taken in the black kitties, as they are always the last to get adopted, and they do get abused by idiots.

If you look closely, you can see the same markings on her that Peter has. He's silver on top and orange on the bottom (first time I've seen that), but a classic tabby with the M on the head and the double eye stripes. She has the same markings but she looks entirely black. The only complaint I have with Tink is that her "PET ME PET ME PET ME PET ME" time is 3 a.m.

They're wonderful kittens. Here's a fuzzy picture from when they were about 7 weeks old...
