She is a very competent professional, and unless she is extremely adept at covering it, I highly doubt she has a drinking problem.

She was once extremely tired and acted a little loopy. She is a woman in her 60's after all, and she was probably up for something like 24 hours straight preparing for election night coverage, and I would think that is what happened again.

I think she is by far the best of the network anchors out there, and one of the best since Peter Jennings.

The unfortunate thing is that everyone around her looked uncomfortable.

She doesn't come across as someone who is affected by alcohol. Also it's not just one time before. Once you might be able to chalk up to being tired or whatever, but when there is a pattern of behavior this betrays a much simpler explanation. Substance abuse has nothing to do with competency or professionalism. Addicts come in all walks of life quite commonly. There's no question she is a highly skilled journalist, but that has nothing to do with whether or not she's an addict.
