The neighbor across the alley is king of his castle, with almost a moat (small exaggeration). There's a small utility/storage room near his back fence, totally visible when I go out there to toss the trash. After 20 yrs of our distant neighborliness, overnight these two, identical brightly orange reflective signs appeared on the side of the storage building on the side of it that is the most visible to me and to any traffic (garbage/utility trucks?).
Does anybody know what they mean? I've Googled, nothing. They are LARGE, like a yard high, perfectly aligned to each other, not like in my drawing here. Side by side, eye level. Are they some kind of hostile something? They are sort of menacing. No, *asking* him is not an option.

(70,715 posts)the only traffic are the once/wk garbage trucks and the very infrequent utility/cable trucks. And there is no "feet" mark next to the number.

(16,245 posts)The red ones are triangular and reflective, with numbers, but I've never seen them with that yellow thing on them.

(70,715 posts)Red triangles are always even numbered. Meaning: (number) = location. (Passing by: keep it on your right when following the ICW counter-clockwise around the U.S.
ICW = (from Wiki: ) Intracoastal Waterway. The Intracoastal Waterway is a 3,000-mile (4,800-km) waterway along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of the United States. Some lengths consist of natural inlets, salt-water rivers, bays, and sounds; others are artificial canals. It provides a navigable route along its length without many of the hazards of travel on the open sea.
