(47,675 posts)That's mostly true when they're grooming others (including humans). I think it's to get down to whatever is hardest to reach. With the grain isn't as effective. Which way do you use the soap on your arm pits and naughty bits?

Loved seeing that momma kitty grooming her sweet kitten, too, while the hedgekitties were nursing... Hearts melted.

(47,675 posts)Well, nothing came out, but it did give her comfort. She was only a year younger (14 1/2 now). Still, it helped her adjust to the new environment. We found her at a rest area (abandoned) when she was so tiny she could walk around the brim of my cowboy hat without bending it. I'm thinking maybe 5 weeks old at the time. He helped. She's quite independent now.
