I would never make it in a vetenarian's office. Now I'm fretting over the curr dog.

On Craigslist: "Baby" is approximately 4 yrs old. Black & tan marble curr dog. Awesome dog. She is very obident, house boken and crate trained. We don't trust her around kids, other pets and she loves to dig.

Poor thing. I fear for her future. She could go with someone who lives alone w/no other pets... Honeycombe8 Nov 2012 #5

Come Jan, I have to find a new shelter to volunteer at - keeps you young. I got over my fretting over not being able to take dogs home by working with them to make them more adoptable. I was just supposed to walk them, but just kept them out longer and played with them until they did not look so cabin fever crazy, since I could do it every day, they got used to being playful and those dogs got adopted - if I helped it was good, but I think we all had a good time.

never find a good home, though. That's a pretty big potential liability for a new owner to take on.

A man was walking her, and I spoke with him. He had helped his friends, a couple who moved to an apartment and could have only one dog, by taking her in. He has a dog, and would like to find a home for Zoe. I've asked some friends, but so far no luck. Maybe he'll decide that his dog does better with a companion.

but often it's women who take in rescues. He's sorta big to take on, for a woman. At least he looks big, and if he has aggression issues, well....

And people who take in rescues often take in multiple ones.

To try to give her away on Craigslist is not a good idea. People take animals from Craigslist to use in research. At least request a $10 payment, for goodness sake! Better to surrender him to the SPCA...but then they might not take him, because of aggression with other dogs.
