I think my 2 1/2 year old grand daughter is destined to something but I'm not sure what . . .

Bed time. Dad says, "Gimme a goodnight kiss."

Kate says,"No, I don't want kiss you."

Dad tries reverse psychology, "I don't want to kiss you either. I'd rather kiss a frog's butt."

Kate says . . . wait for it . . .

Aren't little ones wonderfull? She's smart too.

My little grand daughter once heard a discovery channel situation: Lady on TV=now we're going to make something Mexican from paper. GD said="what,a paper taco?" Not too funny until you realize their ages when they come up with this stuff. My kids are grown now,but I miss them as babies/toddlers. They grow up so quickly.

They get constant input as they grow and sometimes they combine thoughts from differant snatches of conversation/TV and come up with some very funny results. I saw a show on PBS that proved babies as young as 3 months old can tell the differance between right and wrong 86 % of the time. I'm thinking the remaining 14 % may fall into the catagory of those that fall hard in life by making some bad choices. Another story, tho. Babies are MUCH FUN!!

I have to add that I did not let my kids watch TV as little ones--only rented movies. Same with my grand daughter. Too much buy-buy- buy on the boob tube. And twisted social mores little ones don't need.

He was a happy go lucky ball of energy.

When my daughter turned 1, you could already see the gears turning in her head. She was already clever at getting what she wanted. I remember being amazed by the differences at such a young age.

My little grand daughter discovered in her high chair ="what's dat? What is dat? She realized she could go on what seemed like forever pointing at things in whatever room she was in and get our reponses. We didn't mind at all and went along with her questions until she tired of them. Which came none too soon, occasionally. I think those little questions helped her to learn quickly.
