A rare episode, which aired only once in 1964, is going to be on again. (It's a movie, not a Twilight Zone)
It is called Carol for Another Christmas. It is a modernization of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
It hasn't been on tv ever again UNTIL NOW. TCM will be airing it on December 16 and 22. Don't know what time... check your local listings.
It sounds interesting to say the least. I can't wait.

(5,909 posts)I've set it to record, and now have to tell my Dad. I wonder if he saw it the only time it aired? He is a huge Zone fan, and turned me into one. He's a Peter Sellers fan too---always took us to the Pink Panther movies when we were kids.
Good cast--too bad the Peter Fonda scenes were cut, but looking forward to it. Thanks!

(27,509 posts)Couldn't find it using the search feature,
either under "Twilight Zone" or "Carol".
Found it on the program grid on channel 59 from 5-6:30pm on Dec 16.
Set it to record.
Pressed "B" with it highlighted, and it still couldn't find it.
Also didn't realize we don't get TCM in hi-def, just standard def.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Why, that's commie propaganda!
Seriously, thanks for the heads up! I never even knew about this episode before, and it's not part of my "complete" Twilight Zone DVD collection.

(90 posts)It is currently showing on Netflix. It's a 1956 story about a corporate rising star (with a conscience) being pushed into replacing a seasoned but highly ethical coworker that has fallen from grace.
Originally a live TV broadcast, it was so popular that it was made into a feature film with most of the same cast (which is excellent, BTW). It has been regarded as the turning point that essentially started Rod Serling's career.
