Heres a tip: If you steal a car and then rob a bank at gunpoint, dont brag about it on YouTube.
Unfortunately, this bit of seemingly obvious advice came too late for 19-year old Hannah Sabata, who was arrested on Nov. 28th.
Sabata, of Stromberg, Neb., faces charges in connection with the robbery of a Cornerstone Bank branch in Waco, Neb., on Nov. 27th, according to CBS news affiliate KOLN. Ive been sheriff for 19 years, and in law enforcement for 42 years, and Ive never seen anything like this, York County Sheriff Dale Radcliff told the New York Times. Radcliff said Sabata sent a text message to her ex-boyfriend, bragging that she had a pile of money after robbing a bank and asking if he wanted to go get a new tattoo with her. Instead, the ex called the police who were already getting calls about the video, which was uploaded the day after the robbery. Sabata was arrested within hours.
