Sir Paul is going back to his Berlin Rock and Roll days with this Nirvana reunion....

I read a review of a book about the Beatles and why they were so great and why their music will last forever...

The writer pointed out that while they were just getting started in Berlin they played for 12 hours a day, every day and had to learn a shit load of different songs, styles and do it convincingly so the audience wouldn't jump them.

They played everything from 1920's Rudy Vallee stuff to big band songs, from folk songs to rock and roll and the Blues and show tunes. Everything. That is why they were able to transcend the other bands who only play one kind of music.

Just look at the Pepper album and see how many styles were jammed into that hour of music.

And their music is still viable and fresh even 45 years after they stopped recording as a band.

They set a standard that is hard to beat.

McCartney was great. I've always thought that both "Blackbird" and "I've Got a Feeling" were a bit underappreciated. I guess that happens when you have a discography as large and high quality as The Beatles.
