(22,738 posts)Catmusing solo. Closes here at six also but it is 1613.

(12,272 posts)Since you are going it solo, maybe buy the pie pre-made and extra wine.

(12,272 posts)And the wine you just have to open, maybe mix with a little soda water.

(12,272 posts)So over time, the terminal had cooked and finally broke off. It blew two fuses, the cord was melted and I also replaced the range receptacle.
The wires from the wall are real stiff/heavy. I am small and not very strong, as least relative to Mr. gut. Now Mr. gut can write you a computer program and evaluate the value of your stock portfolio, but mechanical/electrical he is not. At any rate, he helped put the wires into the receptacle and he switched the neutral with the black wires. So the oven was heating, but not fully. I checked with the multimeter and discovered the error this morning.

(46,179 posts)I went in earlier today; I needed two things: the eggnog I'm asked to bring to the family gathering tomorrow and some velcro.
There were no parking places; I circled for 15 minutes before I found one spot at the farthest across the lot from the door.
The worst part was getting TO the door; there were cars everywhere, and I was mincing carefully along, slipping and sliding every few tiny steps. The ice went all the way to the door. One employee was at the doors trying to bust up the ice.
Inside, I had to make large detours to find my way to the 2 places I needed to get to; the aisles were packed.
Finally, I had to negotiate the traffic and ice to make it back to the parking place.
Whatever you get, I hope it's worth it.
I'd suggest something good to go IN the eggnog, except that they don't sell that kind of stuff at grocery stores in my state.

(18,705 posts)A little neighborhood of single family houses now full of multi story townhouses.
Very little parking except for the streets which are narrow.
I do miss the old single family houses.
There was no planning, just buy up lots and build as many townhouses you can.
No zoning.
