(7,875 posts)Holidays that no one else celebrates where you get to complain a lot are better than saving a lot of money on car insurance.

(32,086 posts)You have the booze and fun, and the candy is half-off from Christmas! Plus, there's all sorts of good food and the Rose Parade. No costumes outside of silly party hats, but no religion, either.

(3,998 posts)Sucks when you live near it. Too many people on the streets this week here!

(32,086 posts)I live not all that far from Augusta National Golf Course. Masters week is a huge pain in the ass. It's hell for the people who live in the area right around the course--except for the ones who are in spots where they can rent out parking. They make a killing.

(4,281 posts)Way too cold, where I live at least.

(10,893 posts)It used to be Christmas when I was a kid and a teenager, but nowadays I don't get that much stuff for Christmas outside of clothes. I'm 22 years old so I have no use for toys, and many of today's video games are 1st-person shooters, which aren't my strong suit. This is also the same reason why I don't enjoy birthdays as much as I used to, except for the cake.

(20,277 posts)Not ashamed to say it. I like the decorations, music, the whole 9 yards.
I used to like Halloween when my sons were little. Now it's kind of useless.

(12,392 posts)I even hum Christmas Carols in the middle of summer. I am hopeless.

(28,394 posts)It hasn't been too commercialized.... yet! And you don't usually have to worry about the weather for traveling.

(10,000 posts)Christmas is also our younger daughter's birthday, so it wins the holiday contest hands down.

(21,020 posts)Not for the religious aspect of it. Just that it means Springtime is close.
Don't like Christmas much except for all the cool lights

(6,996 posts)All of the joy of the family gathering for a wonderful feast but none of the hassle and angst of gifting.
