'Storage Wars' Star I Need BIG MONEY ... or I'm Off the Show!!

Storage Wars" star Dave Hester -- the "YUUUP" guy -- tells TMZ he's ready and willing to walk away from the biggest A&E reality show ever ... if the network doesn't up their "unjust" contract offer.

Hester was out in L.A. this weekend ... sporting a hat with his signature catchphrase on it ... when he told our photog he hasn't locked up a deal to return to the show next season.

The reality star explained, "Right now I'm in negotiations with A&E and I would just hope they would get away from their unjust contract negotiations ... the ball is really in their court."

First, the guy is a dick, but we all know it. But then again because he's a dick, the show is one of the top rated shows on A&E.

HOWEVER, last week they showed the grand reopening of Jarod & Brandi's new store and the line was very long to get in there. I would have to think that just being on the show is bringing in the bucks because people are shopping in their stores. Best free publicity ever. If Hester walks then his show will no longer have all that free advertising.

I find it interesting that both Jarod and Dave made major expansions on their stores during the duration of the show. For Dave - his expansion was the opening of the Auction House, which I would suspect also is getting traffic from viewers who watch the show.

I would be happy to see him go. I dislike seeing people like that achieve success because of their nastiness. Why do we reward that behavior?

I mean I'm trying to watch Storage Wars Texas and well it's just not as good. Everyone on that show is trying to fill the role created by someone on the original show. And well, they aren't meshing with each other yet.

But if they were to bring in another asshole only one would fit in without any issue and that's Mark Bialias.

... the stuff they find. All of them are lucky to be on it.

That said, Daryl is by far the weakest cast member.

(my daughter loves it) and I got a little hooked into it too. I agree with you on all of it. It's interesting to see some of the cool stuff that they find but I am finding it increasingly annoying because of Darryl and Dave. Dave is just a mean person and Darryl reminds me of the superficial Orange County Republicans that I used to know. When it's on now, I find myself on DU or crocheting.
