The Past

A lot of people seem to have the opinion that Lars Ulrich is an asshole, and he might be, but he may also contain some wisdom. For those who don't know, Lars is the drummer for Metallica and he pretty much went to war with the download sites and won. But when making their most recent album, Lars was asked about the albums Metallica made in the 80s which are generally thought to be their best among the fans. Lars said something to the effect of "I don't want to go back to doing what I did in the 80s."

I don't want to go back to what I was doing back then either even though I had some good times back then. My best years lie ahead of me.

Go forward, don't get too absorbed in the past. Unless you're 90. Then it might be okay.
