I'd wave "goodbye" and continue waving until the last one hit the ground/water..whatever. I might even cheer. Would hate for my friends to not feel a sense of accomplishment as they plunged toward the earth. They did put in all that effort and apparently were dedicated to their goal. A cheer is the least I could give.

But that's just me.
