and now the barge is rocking and rolling. I have no idea if the two are connected. Maybe I should go ask the beaver?

(12,272 posts)Lots of wind and a bit of rain? I have to agree, the geese probably weren't reacting to the same thing that is causing your home to rock.
I suppose you could ask the beaver, but as you know, they tend to be rather cheeky and you may not get a straight answer.
If you have any left-over pancakes, you could bring them and try to use them as a bribe. Good luck.

(27,985 posts)Wow, I did not know. I wonder how he would feel about gluten free? I wonder how my neighbors would feel about me feeding that cheeky beaver? You're right, he is cheeky. When he gets startled, he's quick to hit the water, but he slaps that big tail like a beaver "fuck you" on the way down.
I hope it keeps rocking through the day. I'm a day sleeper and nothing lulls me better than a rocking boat.
On edit: I just went and checked to see if he was out (this seems to be his favorite time) and nope, no beaver, but there is wind and all the other boats are rocking too, so I'm not worried about my mooring ropes. I wouldn't know what to do anyway, so might as well not worry.
