Years ago, I was a financial donor to a Chicago-based graffiti artist group. I don't remember the name. They helped kids get off the street, changed their lives, etc. Some truly great artists. I was struck by how often these young people had such positive outlooks, despite the rough lives they had. Inspirational.
I 'friended' Gamma Galleries after he painted the Sandy Hook Tribute Wall. The painting took my breath away. A more powerful message than any news story. Anyway, I get these FB updates from GG that often make me look at the day in a better light. Whether or not you like this young man's work, he's got one helluva soul.
