What if Badfinger and The Raspberries had an argument... (Original Post) Dr Fate Feb 2013 OP
I get what you're saying, but The Raspberries were not in Badfinger's class. onehandle Feb 2013 #1

The Raspberries were repetitive. Badfinger had range and ended up with more than one song that anyone can remember.

Come & Get It...

No Matter What You Do...

Day After Day...

(4 if we count the Nilsson cover)

Raspberries had at least 3 in rotation too:

With You Tonight
Go All the Way
I'm a Rocker
Overnight Sensation...

I tend to agree with you, but whether the casual Rock & Roll fan (I dont mean you) can remember a hit or not may not be the best measure of who is better.

I love 'm both- but the Raspberries are a bit more fun...Both sound killer on the orig. lp records for sure...

Easily two of the greatest power pop tracks of all time, up there with Big Star's "September Gurls."

On the off chance you're not familiar:

I thought this thread might attract a certain type- like Flies on Sherbert!

I'll raise you an Emitt Rhodes solo LP, or maybe some Left Banke?

Emitt Rhodes I'm not familiar with. And I just figured that since you liked the Raspberries and Badfinger, you'd likely know Big Star as well. That's all.
