But I don't understand why other songs by him didn't "hit." He has an interesting voice, and he looks attractive enough (let's face it...sex appeal has a lot to do with making it in the music business).

The song is about his fantasy of being a misogynistic women's hat designer. The song written by Danny Kaye's real wife Sylvia Fine. The two of them must have had a blast.

Damn song has been evading me for 25 years now. Didn't catch any of the lyrics and long forgotten the tune...I just remember it was a '50s song with good harmony and syncopation to die for.
There's a lot of lost music out there.
