(30,994 posts)Absolutely astounding.
Found it:
Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)But I don't understand why other songs by him didn't "hit." He has an interesting voice, and he looks attractive enough (let's face it...sex appeal has a lot to do with making it in the music business).

(23,542 posts)The song is about his fantasy of being a misogynistic women's hat designer. The song written by Danny Kaye's real wife Sylvia Fine. The two of them must have had a blast.

(19,373 posts)From 1978's "Live Grape", recorded at a couple different venues around the Bay Area. Great live album with a more intimate "club" feel. Original Grape members Peter Lewis, Jerry Miller and Skip Spence here.

(14,139 posts)Their first album was a bit more college-alternative, very R.E.M.-inspired:
Their next album was more Southern-fried hard rock:

(26,109 posts)Damn song has been evading me for 25 years now. Didn't catch any of the lyrics and long forgotten the tune...I just remember it was a '50s song with good harmony and syncopation to die for.
There's a lot of lost music out there.
