there's absolutely nothing going on yet here in Western Mass.

It's not supposed to start snowing till tomorrow morning. Light at first, then heavier/heaviest in the evening

But so far, it's quiet. Although there's this really weird anticipation type feeling in the air.

The deer were here earlier filling up, and right now there are two very fat raccoons chowing at the deer feeder.

this is New Hampshire and the occasional blizzard is the price of having four real seasons. So far it's a calm Friday evening and tomorrow we expect some snow. We've had several days warning and most of us have been surprised enough times by heavier than predicted snowfall we could likely survive it with no warning. This time of the year you make sure the snow blower is full, your firewood supply is protected and easily accessed and other needs are covered .

As an old guy I hope we miss the worst of it but it's only snow. It may be a tough weekend but all next week the temp will reach above freezing-that's a damn warm February...Your Mom has the right attitude and will be fine.

So the rest of the country forgets the parts are still cold. If you're talking about the weather.
