(72,381 posts)that it's so much rarer than when I was young. To my kids it is a big deal, because we've had such warm winters in their lifetimes. A few years ago I walked to town in just my shirtsleeves in January. I mean we've had thaws before, but that was just ridiculous. LOL

(NB: tweaking the red, oddly enough, really brought out the green in the trees, tho I didn't change the green quotient at all)
