Promise some cash and give them a snow shovel. Then go make a pot of coffee for yourself and a pot of hot chocolate for them. Works every time!

(Down here on LI we got what amounts to a normal North Shore MA storm.. no biggie)

So far, only the city trucks have come in to plow the main street. A couple of maintenance guys are around snow blowing.

Can you wait it out ?

Weather guys are predicting another storm coming through. I'm so glad I have a Kindle Fire!

that it's so much rarer than when I was young. To my kids it is a big deal, because we've had such warm winters in their lifetimes. A few years ago I walked to town in just my shirtsleeves in January. I mean we've had thaws before, but that was just ridiculous. LOL

But make sure you mark the weak spot in your roof in case the window's covered up by the afternoon snowfall before you get back home.
