Two adult size blue jay feathers and a lot of down feathers.

That was all I found. The first thing I thought was that some animal had taken down a J. But, on closer look, there wasn't any signs of meat, tendons etc. Just clean down feathers and two Jay feathers.

Is it possible that what I saw was the result of a rough courtship ritual? Or am I just being wishful thinking?
