Update on my blind kitty.

Claudia has adjusted well to her blindness.

We noticed yesterday that some of her vision has returned, although her pupils are still huge. She follows movement, and sees things close to her. She jumps up on things. At first, she climbed and clawed her way up to higher places. I think she sees better in dim light.

We will continue to help her as needed, and hope that she remains healthy for a few more years. She is sixteen, and much loved here.

And it sounds like she's doing very well for sixteen, too. I hope you have her for quite a while longer.

I had an 18 year old who went totally blind, and she did well. I would think that your kitty does do better in dim light if she has any sight at all, but dilated pupils. The light must be difficult if the pupils are not contracting. Best suggestion I have is that you don't move any furniture around. Good luck.
