Things that make you go, hmmmm.

I decided I would apply for a gas card a few weeks ago. I decided against it right after I did it, but figured if I got it, I could close the account and if I was declined, I could get a free credit report.

So, yesterday I got a letter from the unnamed gas company (they all suck, right?), and I bent it to see if there was a card in it. There wasn't, so I figured I got declined for something on my credit report and well, see above.

It was declined, but not for creditworthiness. They sent me a letter, to my home address (not forwarded, but directly) to explain that they declined it because they couldn't confirm my home address.

Really, do I want a credit card from a company that stupid? I think not
