I don't get it -- how do hip hop rodents and robots sell cars?

WTF?

I guess someone finds this clever. I just find it stupid. Just had to sit through a local Kia dealer's edited version of this ad about 5 times in half an hour on the local news.

Am I missing something?

Car commercials on the radio sound EXACTLY like they did 40 years ago - some asshole puking into a microphone at twice the volume the songs were being played at and ending with a 4,000 word disclaimer in 4 seconds, hushed voice while their marching band music plays on.

without getting in trouble with the group being stereotyped -

like the ads featuring a credit card call center in Russia instead of India.
