you have a captive audience, but nobody's listening to anything you say.
Here are a couple of interesting "essays" from American Government students:
The process by which a bill becomes a law is a long process in starts with the local governments and representatives then makes its way to the state politicians and then it is reviewed by them goes to the national government and politicians and is reviewed by them over and over until there is an agreement then it is sent to the President to look over and he discusses it with his cabinet and then they send it to the House and congress and they look it over and then they debate about it and when they finally agree then it becomes a law passed by the congress and senate.
Response to: Explain the major features of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. On what basis did the Court uphold the constitutionality of this law?
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a significant action that helped grant African Americans freedoms. There was hostile situations that took place in public amongst the white and African Americans. There were several cases that went to court to get issues resolved. In Brown V Board of Education it said that everyone was to be equal no matter what color or race you were in public schools. Rosa Parks and the bus boycott and her sitting at the back of they bus was significant and she proved a point and stood up to the white people. The courts granted that there was to be separate but equal amongst the people.
