and vinegar. Either together or separately, they're my favorite "natural" cleaners.
Baking soda is awesome for cleaning grease. I use it with dish detergent to get tomato sauce stains out of plastic. Doesn't get them out 100%, but way better than dish detergent alone.
Also...a bit of baking soda on a damp sponge with a drop of dish detergent gets coffee stains from cups and a glass coffee pot.
One other thing people probably didn't know, not about baking soda, but about vegetable or olive oil. My range hood gets extremely greasy, and attracts dust. It's nearly impossible to clean with conventional cleaners. The only thing that removes it is olive/vegetable oil on a rag or paper towel. When the dirt and oil are gone, then I go over the area with another cleaner to finish up.
Who knew? Using oil to clean grease...
