Do you have a #2 pencil? (Jury duty form)

I just got a 'request for information' relative to serving on a federal district court jury.
The questionnaire FORM stated "Use ONLY a #2 pencil to fill in the answers."
The answers were small ovals that should be blacked in completely (NOT "Xed'!).

I have ballpoints, felt tips, even a grease pencil.
I don't think I own a #2 pencil any more.
They used to be as common as fleas on a yard dog.

Anyway...then I read the instruction letter that came with the form:
"You must use a #2 pencil OR black or blue ink."
Now I don't know who to believe.

Luckily the letter also gave the website where you could complete the form online.
Happy surprise: If you're over 70 you are exempt if you so choose.
I so choose.

The court is an hour's drive away in downtown Mobile and you have to be there at 8 a.m.

Rush hour traffic from where I live to Mobile is murder.
I'd have to leave home at 6:30.
And cross the dreaded miles long I-10 Bayway bridge both ways every day.
You'd have to live here to know how dangerous it is.

I've served on juries twice and really enjoyed it, but I'll take one of the few percs that my age entitles me to.
