Second new computer in three months. And this one works!!

Back in December I decided that I'd buy a new computer (desperately needed one) and opted, for some damned reason, for a combination touchpad/laptop PC. I've always used PCs so I understand how they work and I've had only laptops for years. It's been the most miserable three months of my computing life. It remains to be seen if the thing is actually screwed up or just horribly ill suited to me, but I couldn't do ANYTHING. The keyboard would either stop typing or type in random places in the text. Honestly, just this post would have taken me a dozen starts and stops, and I'm a writer, fer chrissakes. I was crippled! The touchpad would suddenly decide I needed to copy everything and would highlight it all when I was just trying to move the cursor. Email would wildly scroll when I tried to highlight one to open it. And yes, I took it in and adjusted the sensitivity and made sure I wasn't touching things when I shouldn't.

Let me tell you, I've had this new little Macbook Air for an hour and am happy as a clam. I'm NOT an idiot after all! I can figure things out and make them work! It isn't ME!!!

So now Mr. Bear will wrestle the beast and see if it does the same bullshit with him (if it doesn't I'm going to be pissed) and he'll either use it or we'll demand some sort of satisfaction.

But as for me...I'm BACK, Bitches!
