Incitatus
(5,317 posts)she seems to have the respect of some of the Woodbury citizens "army" and that could be useful. Or maybe they will just do away with her.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)her character is slowly being groomed to become the next Governor.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)(I won't elaborate), it looks like tonights episode may not have much to do with the Woodbury storyline, but will be satisfying nonetheless.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)it was not very satisfying to see Andrea not stab & kill the Governor... now, if he kills more people at the prison, it will be on Andrea's guilty conscience if she survives.

(18,705 posts)I don't know about the guns.
Good firefight going in town.
Rick seems to have come back.
Carl is the man, shoot the dude.
The guy shooting was the guy that helped Rick when he left the hospital.
NewJeffCT

Good call Rick.

He wants to get something for the baby.

(46,758 posts)It was good for Morgan not to go with Rick. One bad thing about this show is that the black men aren't allowed to stick around for long.

(18,705 posts)Poor Morgan is crazy.
He lost his son.
Now what to do with him.
Leave him or take him back to the prison.
Baitball Blogger
(46,758 posts)However, the fact that he wants to be killed may be a sign of sanity, considering what he's been through.
Apophis
(1,407 posts)Looks like Duane turned.

Carl is using up all his nine lifes.
That picture better be worth it.
He is leaning up aganist a mostly glass door.
Carl owes Michone his life, he would be zombie meat now without her.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)i did feel bad for them.
Hayabusa
(2,135 posts)when you're carrying around his chained up corpse...
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Why not.
Michonne has feelings.
Hayabusa
(2,135 posts)Hell, finding out that the zombies were her boyfriend and his best friend was a gut punch for me. I just had to make the joke though. Dark sense of humor and all that.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)This show is all about dark humor.
Hayabusa

(18,705 posts)Well, they did pick up his backpack.
Baitball Blogger
(46,758 posts)Tragic, but sad.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Might be a good guy or not.
Baitball Blogger
(46,758 posts)wouldn't pick them up in a zombie world. Rick was a nice guy in the first season. The second season was all about Shaning up. Trusting no one. And those who he does allow in, have to earn it.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Why didn't he find a car or something to get off the road.
Incitatus
(5,317 posts)In this world you need every human on your side that you can get, strength in numbers. He could have been another gun for their defense. But then there is the risk that they can act irrational and be a danger to the group. It did seem callous. I think he just didn't want to take the risk.
krispos42
(49,445 posts)Of course, talk with the hitchhiker first, require him/her to remove all items and store them in the back of the vehicle, and be bound, hooded, and earplugged while in transit back to the prison.

(22,239 posts)Michonne shows some acting.
Carl was tolerable.
Rick and Morgan were good.
"Mat said 'welcome'".
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)She saved Carl's ass.
She is now part of the group.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)Michonne speaks!

(46,758 posts)They just made that comment on Talking Dead. If that's the case, does that mean we've seen the last of Morgan?
Oh, and another plot loose string. If Morgan feels like it's his job to clean the town of zombies, why did he leave that diner with zombie customers.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)If it's a town, there could have been several thousand zombies there and just him. He probably has to "clear" the town several zombies at a time.
Incitatus
(5,317 posts)There are plenty of free walkers to worry about. They will be there for any unfortunate human that tries to loot the place.
krispos42
(49,445 posts)The group ran around all winter; it never occurred to anybody to try to get back to Rick's small town? Maybe set up their own, non-crazy version of Woodbury there?
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)Incitatus
(5,317 posts)But how in the hell she got it so fast without any indications of fighting walkers?
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)she's like nightcrawler - "BAMF" - she teleports in and then out.
Iggo
(47,568 posts)She just walked in the back and grabbed the pic, no sweat.
BTW, best line from Talking Dead last night:
They should've grabbed a picture of Shane so Judith will know what her dad looked like.
Hayabusa
(2,135 posts)Good one for whoever thought of it.
Iggo
(47,568 posts)I think the credit goes to some Twitter person.

(56,829 posts)After Rick's meeting up with Morgan, would they have picked up the hitchiker if he was still alive? Would they have saved him if he was surrounded by walkers? I think the meeting with Morgan did change Rick.
Solly Mack
(90,787 posts)I hope anyway.
Yes! I agree. Visiting Morgan - seeing him and how he's become has changed Rick.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)He didn't even look on the way into town...
Solly Mack
(90,787 posts)Kinda the sign of the times that they got the backpack. A little gallows humor.
I think the trip also allowed for the bonding between Michonne and Rick as well.
I think Rick respects Carl's opinion. From the moment he talked with Carl that day in the barn loft. Telling him they would all die and he might have to shoot his parents. It crushed Rick to tell him that. He had to tell him because of the situation they were in...it was the dutiful thing to do. Still crushed Rick to do it.
When Lori died and Rick understood it was Carl who shot her - it wasn't just Lori's death or Rick's cold shoulder to her prior....it was Carl's role as well. (that sent Rick over) That his child had to do those things to survive. His mind went to a darker place and collided with the Rick self that had to kill Shane...even wanted to kill Shane. And all that collided with the real Rick. The one who is thoughtful and caring and wants to save everyone. The "good guy".
Seeing Lori is a reminder of who Rick really is...she doesn't look angry at him. She smiles at him. She's glad to see him. Rick woke up from his coma looking for people. He needed help. He needed others. He killed the bike lady out of mercy. He was Rick.
What Rick forgot, and why he was seeing Lori, I think, was a reminder of something he was forgetting - you can't do this alone. It's not one man doing it all. It's not just survival....but how you survive.
Carl wanted that photo for Judith - a connection. A family. Message is you're not alone. This is who you are, who we are, and you're one of us.
Michonne got that cat. A talisman of a life that is gone but not forgotten. Never forgotten.
I think "Clear" was helping to drive that point home. They're in this together and how they survive matters.

(46,758 posts)In a recap in Laineygossip it said that at the beginning there was a sign that read, "We're trying for Stone Mountain, Erin."
And then, when a zombie attacks the car driven by Michone, the bracelet on the arm reads, "Erin."
Here's her recap:

(12,047 posts)the Talking Dead was good for a change - showed all the pulleys and cables strung overhead with the little chair lifts running from the tower in the street to the building tops, and the color coded ladders for excape routes - details you couldn't see very well in the show - that was cool
I would have loaded up a line of shopping carts full of Morgan's stash though, they left him with way too many guns- grenades, I think I saw some LAWS rockets too - yeah - we're about to have a WAR here people, stock up
Rick did get a hunting knife plunged into his chest but they just moved that little blood spot over to his shoulder....just a scratch
charlie and algernon
(13,447 posts)the one that Rick woke up from at the very beginning of the show. I raised this in another thread. Right outside the hospital was a small, abandonded military encampment with a boat load of boxes. Rick should've said something once he got to Camp dinnerbell and gone to check what was left. I betcha that Morgan found it and that's where he got all those weapons.
Baclava
(12,047 posts)but still, he had a chance to get them stocked up again and he walked away from a goldmine - Morgan even said take anything you want - you know he won't last much longer
and I better NEVER hear that line about "we're running low on bullets" ever again
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)he had just woken up from a coma and had stumbled, in a daze, through the hospital. He had to think it was a dream or hallucenation or something, at least until that walker fell on top of him.
So, I can give him a pass for not remembering the military equipment there.
(not for most of the hijinks in Atlanta and on Hershel's farm, though.)
Baclava
(12,047 posts)Morgan's house of booby trap horrors was awesome. Really wish he woulda come to his senses and gone with them. But that adventure was far and away the best break from the Prison/Mayberry setting we could have asked for.
great episode - wish they had more like that
charlie and algernon
(13,447 posts)The one where he explains what he's been through since Rick left. That was some fantastic acting.
