Naturally, they don't creep like a hunting animal, but they do roll along in the wind. The ones I saw were much bigger than the one in your picture.

My experience may have been a random moment of surreal. I had to pull over to not run into any or get stuck with them.

This was twenty years ago crossing WY and may not happen anymore.
