An Evil Dead remake? When the heck did this happen?

Saw an ad for it on USA network a few minutes ago. When will Hollywood let these classic moves rest?

As for Diablo Cody, I heard she just script doctored the dialogue because the main writers' native languages weren't English.

the first 3 of Army of Darkness. Each with a different actress playing Ash's girlfriend. If this remake is relatively close, that will be #4. Other than superheroes, I think that's a record.

The original was supposed to be scary but of course ended up being unintentionally hilarious. This one has the budget to be legitimately scary and it looks like the goods are going to be delivered.

Sam and Bruce are both on board so I expect to be wowed.
