Join with me today in recognizing the loss

of three pounds!

It may not seem like much but when you're yo-yoing between insulin resistance and hypoglycemia it's a sign that health is slowly returning--at least enough to bear the hunger pains without worrying about blacking out.

To anyone who has this problem, the key is to get healthy first. That means slowly increasing your endurance at the gym. i.e. It took me well over two and a half years to work my way up to one hour on the treadmill a day. It's demoralizing at first because I didn't lose the fat, but gained weight as a I built muscle.

But sometime in February I started concentrating on reducing fat, which in my case, meant reducing sugar and decreasing the size and number of snacks that I relied on to keep me productive during the day.

So, it can happen. And now that I've announced it I'm motivated even more to keep it off.

It should be easy to lose weight and gain income, instead of the other way around.

Life with all its challenges.

I learned to snack on proteins...and pretty much 'graze' all day long. The extra weight came off and never returned. Almonds and Pistachios are two favorites...high in protein and relatively low in saturated fat.

A friend gave me a book that helped explain insulin resistance and I managed to replace carbs for protein. It helped tremendously because I couldn't even go out to eat before that, without eating a snack first to make sure I could make it through the wait before the appetizers made it to the table!

the return to a more normal eating pattern and health are perhaps the best rewards of all! # I couldn't even go out to eat before that...#
I'm sure you are much happier!
