A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the Playboy mansion for a screening of that new Jennifer Lopez/Jason Statham movie, Parker. I don't usually go to press screenings because it's much easier to download the movie and watch it at home and not have to talk to other people, but I'd literally wanted to visit the Playboy mansion ever since I'd found out it was an option for me several seconds earlier. So I HAD to go....

(1,569 posts)We didn't actually get much of a tour inside the house--Heff was reportedly there with his family at the time. Even nearly two decades ago, the place was "comfortably run-down". The playroom (the orgy area) was just sad. The grotto was kinda cool, one of the younger press guys dove in and security hauled him away. All in all, I was glad I got to go, but definitely not impressed with the place...the playmates were indeed charismatic, gracious, funny, and yes, beautiful.

(10,237 posts)I wouldn't have done it without a Haz Mat suit ,this was close to 30 years ago when the "empire " was really hurting .
