I'm still lovin' my SodaStream. Tonight, I'm drinking sugar-free cherry-limeade soda...

.
.
My favorite is a small amount of Mio Black Cherry drops and Torani Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup (like
you see in coffee shops).
.
A cherry-vanilla soda to die for.

I just splash in a little cranberry juice and a squeeze of lemon mostly, but yours sounds good.

I thought it essentially made generic versions of soda, which held no appeal.

But that sounds good right about now. I dub you Soda Sommelier.

I think the SodaStream flavors are much more expensive than the other options, although I REALLY
like their diet grapefruit (my favorite kind before SodaStream, too). It has more of a real grapefruit
taste than Fresca or Kroger's/Fry's generic.
.
There's all sorts of possibilities and, like my cherry-vanilla, you can create your own combos, too.
.
The initial cost can be fairly high, but in the long run, it's really worth it.

8. Plus Staples and Target!

Staples seems to be one of the few which carries caffeine free diet cola. I gave a SodaStream as a gift this past Christmas after reading your enthusiastic recommendation! Thank you! I also have a heck of a time lugging around bottles of soda...

11. Staples also carries the 130 liter size tank

Though it took 20 minutes for them to figure out how to take the return and sell me a full tank.

12. They also are more than willing to exchange tanks.

When I went in to buy one, the guy who helped me out kept reminding me that it would be much cheaper if I exchanged them. A lot of places seem to be out of the popular flavors, but Staples has had a pretty good selection. And thanks! I'll have to look for the bigger one there the next time...

... I use, instead of a full cap... a 1/2-2/3 cap. I like pretty intense flavors and those
reduced levels are enough for me (though I do tend to hyper-carbonate the water).

And I'm getting more adventurous, especially since I now have a blender.

The last time there was a SodaStream discussion, you mentioned using the Mio with yours. I thought that sounded kinda good, so I bought some orange-tangerine Mio and some seltzer water, and tried it out.

I have now quit sodas completely, and am addicted to fizzy orange-tangerine Mio instead. I may have to buy one of the damned machines. Thanks alot!

10. Mio is so concentrated that it really doesn't take much of it to flavor soda.

A coupla benefits to having a SodaStream:
.
No lugging soda home -- instead of 1-and/or-2 liter bottles, you simply fill your SodaStream 1-liter
bottle with tap or bottled water (though you still have to lug bottled water home and what would
be the point?)
,
If you run out of soda and get a craving for it at breakfast time (I call 'em "scrubbin' bubbles&quot ...
it takes about 1-2 minutes to make.
.
CUSTOM flavors -- and Mio suddenly has a LOT of competition from other companies -- I've found
Kool-Aid's Fruit Punch drops to be pretty good.
.
Custom level of carbonation -- barely fizzy to almost-noseticklin' bubbles.
,
I'm a very simple guy and buy very little in the way of gadgets or things other than necessities --
but this thing has far surpassed all my hopes and expectations.
