Whether she was playing exasperated, sullen, aroused, or intrigued... her facial expressions simply never changed. She delivered her lines crisply enough and the dialog was really clever. But if she wasn't good looking, no one would've bought the David Addison character being attracted to her. She was smart, but essentially bland and unemotional. Bruce Willis carried that show. If they'd put the Alice Beasley actor in the lead, that show could've run 10 seasons.
