LOVE it.
So no prom.
in a way I guess it's a good thing.
One less social event I would have to cringe about years later as I recall all the times I've embarrassed myself in public.
Like trying to cut a cherry tomato in half and having it jump out of my salad dish and go rolling across the table (Xmas party)
Or cutting into a breast of chicken and my hand slips off the knife and my forefinger slides down and hits a puddle of gravy, sending it splashing onto myself and the person to my left (Bridal shower)
Ducking under a large yard tent and the rope rips off my clip-on ponytail hairpiece (baby shower)
Biting into a buttered roll and my partial plate (one front tooth) stays stuck in the roll (Senior class banquet)
No telling what sort of mischief might have been unleashed on my poor unsuspecting classmates on Prom night.
