(2,560 posts)8. The sister of a friend of mine decided to get married in Bali.
The families of both partners live in England and neither wanted a big ceremony (complete with costs).
So, they sent off invitations to all the family (come if you want to, but you're paying), paid for my (female) friend and a best man to come, had a great honeymoon on Bali and had a big party when they got back to England.
My wife and I wish we had done something similar.
