A Belgian-Style Tripel 9.5% ABV
http://www.victorybeer.com/beers/golden-monkey

Hard Liquor? Gordon's London Dry Gin.
(Lower shelf, but surprisingly good, and gin is usually mixed with something anyway)

Liqueur? Grand Marnier
(Top Shelf. And it should be)

Wine? Two-Buck Chuck Cabernet
(I've had $300 dollar a bottle wines that were not as substantial)
(ok... I've had multiple better red wines from the Bordeaux region of France. Usually around $20 or so a bottle)

Some call it a martini but really I care nothing for your vermouth. Give me nearly frozen vodka and a fistful ov olives and I'm a happy bear.

from alcohol for a while. Have a problem with binge drinking. And apparent my last blood work game back with really high liver enzyme numbers.

Actually answering the question though I like Jin and Tonics the best. Followed by straight Jin and straight Vodka probably. I like most red wines so long as they aren't too dry, don't care for white that much. As far a beer goes I prefer more malty beers, but not to point of being overly sweet.

I've seen this before.

It can be serious, but there are other causes, too.

Although my doctor didn't say anything like imminent liver failure or anything. He just said I need to stop drinking. A little research has shown that these numbers are bad but not crazy. It's crazy that even now I feel like taking a drink, lol. Not a good sign.

from numbers that high but your doc is right that you should give it a chance to recover.

Just talking about it can make it harder to stay away from the sauce. Best of luck.

I'm a mood drinker. My mood sets what I drink. Right now I'm a little blue, so I say, if I could afford it, Tequila, strait up.

But when I am at a BBQ, I like Budweiser. When I am wanting to kick it and watch the sunset, Sangria. When Dave and I are having a romantic evening, we drink our drink, Sambuca on the Rocks. The list can go on.

Of course right now drinking is out of the question due to no money.

A favorite rare treat only enjoyed twice a year or so.

My standard would be a few fingers of whisky in a tumbler and a couple of ice cubes. Irish or Scotch.

with either Bourbon or Rye. My favorite Bourbon would probably be Woodford Reserve but I'll go for anything above Jim Beam, I kind of like Wild Turkey 101.

My favorite Rye when I can get it is Alberta Premium - 100% Rye Whisky and not all that hard on the pocketbook.

28. Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale . . .
Fri May 10, 2013, 11:43 AM
May 2013

made by Lazy Magnolia:

"Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale is the first beer in the world, to our knowledge, made with whole roasted pecans. The pecans are used just like grain and provide a nutty characteristic and a delightful depth to the flavor profile. This beer is very lightly hopped to allow the malty, caramel, and nutty flavors shine through. The color is dark mahogany. Southern Pecan won a Bronze Medal in the 2006 World Beer Cup in the Specialty Beer category".
