(12,132 posts)it's loosely based on Inglorious Bastards.
It's a great movie but I'm not sure how well it will translate to commercial TV. The censorship would irritate the piss out of me.

(53,066 posts)Why the misspelling? That's the one I saw, with Brad Pitt.

(12,132 posts)Quentin just likes to be different - it was a deliberate misspelling. I think he just liked the name of the Italian original - I've never seen the first one so I don't have any idea how close the newer one follows it.

(41,991 posts)The man, and the character, are brilliant. If not for him it wouldn't be outstanding I don't think, though I always have to hand it to Tarrantino for not being afraid to just screw with reality.

(5,317 posts)It's a pretty good movie. Tarantino is fucking brilliant. I love his work.
Interesting note, his first choice for The Bear Jew was Adam Sandler, but he turned it down.

(42,008 posts)The cinematography is gorgeous, it's funny as hell, most often in the ironic sense, but sometimes just funny; as well as being deeply tragic--not bad at all for for alternative history.

(20,277 posts)I liked it. We did see it On Demand, so no commercials and no editing.
