It's been a long day, dealing with my dad's illness long-distance.

I went to bed hours ago.

But I'm getting ready to turn down again.

I don't know if I'll be able to stay up until the LOLCats though.

Just wanted to see who was still awake. Most of my DU friends live on the East Coast, so they tend to go to bed before I do.

CalPeg and a few others are in the same time-zone as me, so that helps when I want to talk.

wiped out but not ready for bed, so i'm just sitting on the porch, enjoying the night.

I've got Canadian relatives due back here from SF on Tues. and am trying to figure out how to get them home!

Why you are not soaking in a hot bath, and why I'm not reading in bed, is a mystery.

Instead, we stare at a bright screen, the light of which is no doubt disrupting our circadian rhythm. And we poke at plastic keys to express our nocturnal ramblings...

Well, sorta meet.

Don't know why. Went through my normal Saturday evening routine. Doc Martin and then the new British female cop show after. Was on the brink of dozing off all the way through. Turned off the tube and immediately went into wide awake mode. Have been stuck in awake ever since, plus now my stomach is upset. So I'm having ginger tea with honey to see if that will help. Tomorrow is already a loss, though.

Feel better...

I don't know where the night went. First 45 minutes went by. Then I tossed and turned and tossed and turned. And suddenly, 3 hours and 45 minutes were gone.

Part of it is I'm cold. I turned up the heat, but apparently not enough. Last night was warmer. Tonight is back to freezing. It's been a tough Maine spring. It can't decide whether to go back to winter or jump into summer.

You don't necessarily have to sleep. Just enjoying the cozy warmth might help...

First need to finish my tea and see if it settles my stomach...

I found doc martin one day on netflix- ended up watching all of the series and two movies in a matter of days. we love doc martin and my wife keeps wondering when the new episodes will be showing up.

Last week Aunt Joan died. Last night was her funeral. She left her farm to her sister, so a new Aunt is on the scene.

So I am playing on DU and watching De-Lovely on my dvr for about the 1000th time.

I have a girl crush on Ashley Judd, Kevin Kline is also in it.

The movie is about Cole Porter.

from an entire day going to Seattle International Film Festival films. I saw 4 today. I took the bus to the city and back so I didn't have to deal with parking issues and costs. I've got a Senior bus pass so it brings the cost way down.

Two more movies tomorrow!

I'm on my first cup of coffee. Was so exhausted last night, I fell asleep at about 7:00! It feels strange to be up and refreshed at this hour. What's new with you?
