This reminds me of the super at an apartment complex I lived in. I complained about the bedroom closet door getting stuck, so he came over for the repair. He reinstalled the doorknob mechanism--upside down, so the door could not be shut.

Whatta' genius.

It was so painful to see him work and then we would have to live with the results, that I'd fix small things myself, which made him and me much happier.

Nothing I suggest will ever work 'here'. It works across the street and everywhere else in the world, but it won't work 'here'.

My suggestions and ideas are usually about saving money, but it won't work here. Needless to say, I'm paying over $400/month in condo fees on an efficiency apartment.
