I can safely guess that if this goes on too much longer, that team will be the loser. Either that RP's arm is going to fall off, they're going to have to relieve him with a position player or perhaps dip into whichever starter is most well rested and not starting a game tomorrow.

IN any case, it looks bad for them.

They've got platooned starters working. Both will have to be replaced soon with pitch counts near 90

Major League and National League record: 26 innings in 1920 in a game between the Boston Braves and Brooklyn Dodgers called on account of darkness...one of the few ties in MLB history.

American League record: 25 innings in a 7-6 victory by the Chicago White Sox over the Milwaukee Brewers in 1984.

Professional baseball record: 33 innings in 1981 between the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Rochester Red Wings (Orioles).

You see, here, in Germany, they don't televise baseball games. She'd see through my ruse fairly quickly.
