new friends

Mrs. V. and I went to a party Saturday before last, thrown by a co-worker and her wife. I was nervous; I am a certified introvert and don't do well in crowds of strangers.

But it was a great party. I wound up doing shots (!) with the daughter of my co-worker, and dancing with her wife.

Now this couple has become my fast friends -- especially the wife. Go figure. But I love them both and am thrilled to have found some new friends.

Oh, yeah, edit: My co-worker has left "co-worker" status -- we still work for the same firm but she's now "friend."

I'm a certified introvert too. I find it extremely hard to make friends, but when I do they are truly friends!

I give you credit for going to the party.... I wouldn't have gotten that far! Glad you had such a great time.
