Just got the power back! Whoo hoo!

That was a bizarre storm we had on Thursday. The sky was so strange and dark!

It took down very large trees all over the place but I guess we were lucky in that they landed in the streets around here. And the humidity was down so the house did not become unbearable.

Yesterday the neighbors used chain saws to clear out the street enough to get out. Alabama Power arrived to help this afternoon and new poles were put in. Uverse came back on just a few minutes later.

Now, to catch up on the news!

For some reason my mother-in-law gave us a rabbit candle for Easter years ago. I found it in a drawer not long ago and decided we should use it some time. That came Thursday night. Odd thing is, the wick is in the rabbit's head so it makes for a very strange sight as it melts.

Where do you live? I am in North Georgia just outside of Atlanta.

the warning came for Cherokee, Cobb and Futon so we thought they meant North Fulton. Next thing you know, the sky was black and the wind was swirling the trees around. How'd you make out?
