The woman took her cat to the vet several times, but ignored the vet's advice. The cat was so obese, he couldn't stand or clean himslef. He developed skin ulcerations and his fur was completely matted.

She brought the cat in for the last time, and he was taken away. Had to be euthanized.


That's how bad it was. She is being charged with animal cruelty.

My last dog was on the pudgy side, but it never got to the point where he couldn't take care of himself, he just really liked to eat. He never got over the fear his first owners put into him that he might not get his next meal.

I couldn't imagine letting a pet of mine get to that point.
