Bathtime? No thanks!

Most dogs hate having a bath but this canine has gone to extraordinary lengths to avoid having one.

The clever Alsatian has learned how to shut the door to his kennel so his owner can't reach him when bathtime arrives.

This hilarious clip posted on YouTube shows the dog in action - repeatedly pulling his door-closing trick on his unsuspecting owner.

The most annoying was the Golden Retriever. He loved water so much he'd jump into our big water trough. The annoying part is that he'd do it when we were standing next to it and splash water all over us.

Not so bad in the summer but when he did it on a cold winter day, it was really irritating.

The other dog we had at the time hated water. My husband would put him on the horse cross ties to give him a bath so the dog couldn't run away. And since he loved rolling in dead things and horse manure, he needed baths often.

But I haven't had a dog since 1999 when we put our last one to sleep (19 years old, cataracts, few teeth, senile, fatty tumor on one hip).

but she still LOVES getting a bath. While I was traveling she often slept in the motel bathtub instead of on my bed. Silly dog!

He was my faithful shadow until I headed for the bathroom(water lurked there) and he refused to step inside that room. He would do sentry duty out in the hall until the water demons released me from their grips. Outside just the act of moving the water hose had him hide in the opposite end of the yard. But he was afraid of little else.
