I don't drink beer and I want to go there.

The beer was outstanding. It's from Crooked Letter Brewing, a Mississippi craft brewer, and the summer ale had mango and jalepeno. They also had an Italian lager, an IPA, and an oatmeal stout.

And yeah, the place is beautiful. This is the little Mississippi town I grew up in and the downtown/main street area was always pretty sad with half the stores closed down. This is an old Art Deco hotel that was basically vacant throughout the 80s and 90s that some guy bought up and tried to renovate, but it apparently wasn't going well. I had to promise not to talk about the changes they made until the show aired, but I will say I'm more hopeful for the future of Main Street now.

They're generally against regulations; this one only exists because the city council was desperate to have somebody do something with the property.

Basically, it's just a fenced-in outdoor area with a bar where you can sit outside and drink. In Mississippi, the whole thing has to be invisible from the street; this shot is from a parking lot so they got by on that technicality.

the thought of mango jalapeño beer...Now I'm sad I was that close to Ramsay and didn't know it AND I don't have any mango jalapeño beer...

Ask your package store guy to start carrying it.

We have a couple really good beer stores here in Orlando. I'll ask them about it. Would't mind trying that oatmeal stout either...
