Did the deed on Wednesday afternoon and had the follow-up this morning. The doc said my cataract was quite thick. Well, duh....
My vision is already clearing, but it'll take some time for the blurriness to fade. The other eye took weeks. This one is going a lot faster.
Just one problem- my lifelong light sensitivity has gone through the roof. Thank God for Vicodin...

Just had the last of bad teeth removed over a month ago.
Cut me off pain meds, so recovery wasn't pleasant, but it's just about over.
Oh
I remember Patrick McGoohan in "The Prisoner"
Good show that.

(206,006 posts)It's been awhile since my grandmother had her cataract surgeries, back in the '90s, but I was with her for both of them and they gave her a pair of wrap-around sunglasses to wear outside. They told her to wear her own glasses inside, but since she didn't wear any, we got her a pair of those wrap-around clear goggles like welders or chemists wear.
So glad this is working out so well for you. Maybe you can get suggestions from your doctor for what might help the light sensitivity. I have the opposite problem, night blindness.
