My eye surgery went well.

Did the deed on Wednesday afternoon and had the follow-up this morning. The doc said my cataract was quite thick. Well, duh....

My vision is already clearing, but it'll take some time for the blurriness to fade. The other eye took weeks. This one is going a lot faster.

Just one problem- my lifelong light sensitivity has gone through the roof. Thank God for Vicodin...

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that!

How about "I wear my sunglasses at night"?

Did my little package get there yet? It might not have...

Just had the last of bad teeth removed over a month ago.

Cut me off pain meds, so recovery wasn't pleasant, but it's just about over.

Oh

I remember Patrick McGoohan in "The Prisoner"

Good show that.

Distance or reading? And if you put in a distance lens what does that mean for reading? Sorry to be so nosy but my dad is going in for the same operation and we have some issues. Please & thank you.

It's been awhile since my grandmother had her cataract surgeries, back in the '90s, but I was with her for both of them and they gave her a pair of wrap-around sunglasses to wear outside. They told her to wear her own glasses inside, but since she didn't wear any, we got her a pair of those wrap-around clear goggles like welders or chemists wear.

So glad this is working out so well for you. Maybe you can get suggestions from your doctor for what might help the light sensitivity. I have the opposite problem, night blindness.

in both eyes plus partial cornea transplants. I see a whole lot better although I still need glasses for the astigmatism. The big change was color quality...I had no idea that white was really white and not an off shade of yellow. .
